To make my way to the Source, I pray, and
to understand how it carves through the rock
and reshapes the earth along its holy path;
I pray to meet the One who loves the path
— its movement more than its destination —
and to learn the patience of unknown ends;
To greet Perseverance and her sister Joy,
I pray, and to splash and wade with them
in the beautiful path that yields to no one.
Let me go upstream, I pray, forever upstream.

love it
Beautiful Rachel. Love the idea of perseverance and joy meeting, greeting each other. Also, so appreciate the concept of movement vs destination. I will be sharing this and “thinking on this” often.
Thank you. Thankful that God “gifted you” with a “beauty of language “ and it’s ability to reflect His words and faith foundations !
Rachel, I cherish your prayer inspired by Ps 31. It has been one that has comforted me when my Bi-polar over whelmed me!! I am so thankful you share you words with us. Like you meds are indeed God’s gift to us!
I bought you book “Denial..” and it is indeed a treasure. I feel at times you are writing my story! !
Thank you for the feedback, all!
