For the dawning light of the day,
fresh & bright as though this is the earth’s first turning;
For the early greening of daffodil shoots,
as though the bulbs have never birthed sun-bright flowers;
For the running of the stream,
as though there is no joy quite like skipping over rocks;
For the tossing of the wind,
as though spring cannot come without its sweeping;
For the holy wellspring of Love,
as though the Mother is praying over us for the first time;
We give thanks and praise,
and we lean with renewed hope into the goodness of God.
Kind hands hold me after I fall, giving me time to gather my strength once more and take my own steps.
May all those who need it this day, find steadfast support, and the kindness of strangers to remind them of faithful humanity.
Amen.
