In these days full of shadows and the forecasting of death,
O God who reigns over both death and life,
be close to those for whom Good Friday is not a ceremony
but a daily reality.
For once, let me shut up my own whining,
put sackcloth and ashes over the stresses that preoccupy me.
Let me pray for others
to see Christ not in the convenience of life
