I love you, Most High —
not just because you are
beautiful in the spring mist,
not just because you find me
when I have collapsed,
not just because you
provoke my dreams
— but because
you are you,
intimately part of
and wholly separate from
all of this, incarnately throughout
and inscrutably beyond each breath.
I love you, Most High, because you are you.
